【摘要】:KnittedfabricsshouldmeetalloftherequirementsinTable1tobesuitableforuseinthemanufactureofdresssuitsandsportswearjackets,slacks,andtrousersformenandboys.ItisrecognizedthatforpurposesoffashionoraestheticstheultimateconsumerofarticlesmadefromthesefabricsmayfindacceptablesomefabricsthatdonotconformtoalloftherequirementsinTable1.Forexample,thefabriccouldbedyedinshadesthatdonotmeettherequirementinTable1forcolorfastnesstolight,yetbeacceptabletotheultimateconsumerbecausetheshadeisfashionable.Insuchcases,oneormoreoftherequirementsmaybemodifiedbymutualagreementbetweenthepurchaserandtheseller.IfanyoftherequirementsinTable1aremodifiedbymutualagreementbetweenthepurchaserandtheseller,anyreferencetothespecificationshallspecifythatx201C;thisfabricmeetsASTMSpecificationD3782exceptforthefollowingcharacteristic(s).x201D;Theusesandsignificanceofparticularpropertiesarediscussedintheappropriatesectionsofthespecificmethods.1.1Thisperformancespecificationcoversmen''sandboys''knitteddresssuitandknittedsportswearjacket,slack,andtrouserfabricscomposedofanytextilefiberormixtureoftextilefibers.1.2Thisperformancespecificationisnotapplicabletoknittedfabricsusedforinterlinings.1.3Theserequirementsapplytothelengthandwidthdirectionsforthosepropertieswherefabricdirectionispertinent.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
