【摘要】:MeasurementsoffilmthicknessareanessentialpartofmostASTMtestmethodsrelatedtocoatingsonsteelpipe.Adequatethicknessisimportantforacoatingtofulfillitsfunctionofpreventingormitigatingcorrosionofsteelpipelines.Theaccuracyofthethicknessmeasurementsmaybeinfluencedbythedeformabilityofthecoating.Thistestmethodisnotapplicabletocoatingsthatwouldbereadilydeformableundertheforceexertedbytheprobeofthemeasuringinstrument.1.1Thistestmethoddescribesthenondestructivemeasurementofthethicknessofadry,nonmagneticcoatingappliedtotheexternalsurfaceofsteelpipe.Themethodisrecommendedforcoatingthicknessesupto6mm(0.240in.)andforanydiameterpipe,butnotsmallerthan10mm(0.5in.).Itdoesnotapplytoexcessivelysoftfilms.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitstothreesignificantdecimalsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
