【摘要】:Thispracticeisusefulfortheselectionofzippersthatwillbecompatiblewithitemstobecarelabeled.Thispracticeisusefulasaguidefortheselectionoftestmethodstoevaluatezipperpropertiesthatarerelevanttocare-labeleditems.1.1Thispracticeprovidesguidelinestothemanufacturerfortheselectionofzipperstobeusedingarmentsandhouseholdfurnishingsthathavecarelabels.Theuseofthispracticewillfacilitatetheselectionofazippercompatiblewiththeend-itemrequirements.Intheabsenceofcompleteknowledgeofend-itemcharacteristics,itisnotpossibletostipulatespecificuniversalcharacteristicsforacarelabel.Thereforefollowinginitialselection,thechosenzippershouldbetestedinaprototypeitemtoconfirmitssuitability.Zipperpropertiestobeconsideredarethosethatmay,followingrefurbishing,betheoneslikelytoadverselyaffectthecontinueduseandenjoymentoftheiteminwhichthezipperisinstalled.1.2Theproductcharacteristicsevaluatedbythispracticeareshrinkage,colorfastness,andironingdeformation.Note1TestmethodsofinterestincludeTestMethodD2052,TestMethodD2053,TestMethodD2054,TestMethodD2057,TestMethodD2060,1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
